    Day 1

    Arrival in Kathmandu


    The day is reserved for rest and leisure. In the evening, attend the sacred Aarti at Pashupatinath Temple, situated on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. (4600ft)

    Day 2

    Kathmandu Sightseeing & Fly to Nepalgunj (50 min flight)

    The spiritual journey begins with a sacred Rudra Yagna at the premises of Pashupatinath Temple. Late, proceed for darshan at Jal Narayan Temple (Sleeping Vishnu), Guhyeshwari Shakti Peeth, Ling Bhairavi Devi Temple, and Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple). In the afternoon, depart for Nepalgunj (490ft), followed by a detailed Yatra Briefing Session.

    Fly to Simikot (1 hr flight)

    Board a flight in a 16-seater aircraft to Simikot (9,600 ft), a scenic hill town in Nepal’s Humla district. The rest of the day is reserved for relaxation and acclimatization.

    Simikot – Hilsa (Border)– Drive to Taklakot  (25 min flight| 45 min drive)


    Take a helicopter flight to Hilsa (11,900 ft), located near the Nepal–China border.
Complete immigration formalities, cross into Tibet, and drive to Taklakot / Purang (13,200 ft).

    Drive to Lake Manasarovar

    Drive towards the sacred Lake Mansarovar (14,800ft). En route, enjoy your first darshan of Mount Kailash.  Perform the Mansarovar Parikrama by vehicle and spend time at Lake Mansarovar and Rakshas Tal.

    Day 6

    Puja at Mansarovar & Drive to Darchen (40 km | 1hr)

    Begin the day with a holy bath near Lake Mansarovar (14800ft), followed by Puja, Havan, and Meditation. After lunch, drive to Darchen, the base camp of Mount Kailash.

    Drive to Yamadwar and Trek to Diraphuk (12 km | 6 hrs)

    Drive to Yamdwar, the sacred  gateway to Kailash Parikrama. Begin the Parikrama to Diraphuk (16700ft) on foot or by horse.
(Yatris not undertaking the Parikrama will return to Darchen and stay there until the group returns.)

    Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk via Dolma La (22km | 10 hrs)

    Trek from Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk (15700ft) via Dolma La (18,500ft). Descend through Gauri Kund, followed by a long valley walk.
    (Even yatris on horses must walk approx. 5–6 km during the descent.)

    End of Parikrama and Drive to Taklakot/ Hilsa (6km walk | 45 min drive)

    Walk from Zuthulphuk to the pick-up point, from where the vehicle will pick you up. Rejoin fellow yatris who stayed back at Darchen. Later, drive to Taklakot or Hilsa for an overnight stay.

    Taklakot/Hilsa fly to Simikot/Nepalgunj

    Take a helicopter flight from Hilsa to Simikot, followed by a connecting flight to Nepalgunj, attend the Certificate Distribution Ceremony.

    Who can undertake the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra?

    Any person in good physical health with strong mental preparedness can undertake the yatra. While no prior trekking experience is mandatory, basic fitness and determination are essential due to high altitude conditions.

    What is the best time to go for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra?

    The yatra is usually conducted between May and September, when weather conditions are relatively stable and routes are accessible.

    Should I book pre/post tour accommodation?

    There’s no any need for you to book any extra accommodation. We will take care of it for the entire journey.

    Is there any requirement for the Medical certificate?

    There is no any need for the medical clearance for the holy Kailash Manasarovar Yatra. However, we at Pavitra Kailash Yatra need your medical report for the safety purpose. (It will help us to give immediate medical treatment in case of emergency.

    Which currency is most widely accepted on this tour?

    You can pay in any currency (INR/ NPR/ USD) equivalent to $2700 or INR2,35,000. In Nepal, both Indian Rupee (INR) and Nepalese Rupee (NPR) are acceptable. Whereas China (Tibet) accepts US Dollar (USD) and Chinese Yuan (CNY).

    If you are traveling alone and want to stay in a single room throughout the journey, the extra supplement cost is $600 or INR 55000.
