What to Expect

Travel light, as trekking during the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra can be physically demanding.
This journey is not suitable for individuals with breathing difficulties or severe health conditions.
Accommodations provide only basic amenities, ensuring essential comfort during the trip.
There is no upper age limit (above 18 years), but all pilgrims must be in excellent health to undertake the yatra.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Kathmandu

Arrival at Kathmandu airport, pick up and transfer to Hotel.

Evening Aarati Darshan and Kailash program briefing 8 Pm at Hotel.

O/N Kathmandu.

Accommodation – at 5 stars standard Hotel on twin sharing.
Food – Dinner.

Day 2Sightseeing and Flight to Nepalgunj

In the morning after breakfast, we will go for sightseeing, at Pashupatinath Temple & Sleeping Vishnu, after lunch flight to the small city named Nepalgunj.
(50-minute flight/150 Mtr)

Accommodation – at Nepalganj 5* Hotel on 2 sharing.
All meals will be served by Team Pavitra Kailash Yatra.

Day 3Fly to Simikot:

Early morning shift to Nepalgunj Airport, (16 seated aircraft) flight to Simikot/Hilsa, enjoying the beautiful ecstatic view of the Himalayan valley. Rest, Acclimatize (high altitude) at Simikot/Hilsa.

Accommodation – at Simikot stander Hotel on 2-6 sharing.
All meals will be served by Team Pavitra Kailash Yatra.

Day 4Fly by Helicopter to Hilsa Border & Drive to Taklakot:

After breakfast shift to Helicopter and fly to Hilsa (Nepali border) 20 minutes fly the helicopter & cross the border (China-Nepal), meet our Chinese and Nepali crew, and drive to Taklakot city.

Accommodation – at Taklakot 3-star Hotel on 2-4 sharing.
All meals will be served by Team Pavitra Kailash Yatra.

Day 5Drive to Lake Manasarovar.

After breakfast drive to Holy Lake Mansarovar.

It’s a very auspicious day for all people who will have their first glimpse of Holy Mansarovar lake and a view of Mt. Kailash. We will drive and complete Lake Mansarovar parikrama by bus. On the way find a good place to take a beautiful memorial picture.

Fill spiritual water.

Parikrama of Manasarovar Lake by vehicle. (2 hrs. – 90 km)
Accommodation – at Mansarovar Guesthouse on dormitory sharing.
All meals will be served by Team Pavitra Kailash Yatra.

Day 6Spiritual activities and Drive to Darchen.

It’s a very auspicious day for all Yatries. The abode of god will be a lifetime achievement.

We will do puja, Havana, Meditation, Holy bath, and spiritual activities, etc. After lunch drive to Darchen.

One pandit at the Manasarovar lake for all the devotees to perform Pooja
Accommodation – at Darchen standard Hotel on 2-4 sharing.

Day 71st Day of Parikrama: Drive to Yamadwar and trek to Diraphuk.

This is the first day of the Parikrama.

After breakfast, we will drive to Yamdwar (7 km) and then start our trek to Diraphuk. (12 km walk, 6-7 hours)

Yatries who are not going for Parikrama will stay at Darchen after the Yamadwar visit.

Accommodation: at Deraphuk, Guest house on dormitory sharing.
All meals will be served by Team Pavitra Kailash Yatra.

Day 8Trek to Charansparsha

Get yourself ready to witness the breathtaking and divine golden view of Mount Kailash. After a hearty breakfast, we will start our trek to Charansparsha, located approximately 3 kilometers from our stay at Diraphuk. The journey will take around 4-5 hours to complete, depending on your physical fitness. The experience is sure to leave you with a profound sense of peace and connection to this holy land.

Day 9Second Day of Parikrama: Trek to Zuthulphuk.

Wake up early and Parikarma continues, this is the day every pilgrim talks about the most important as well as difficult journey throughout the trip, the trek goes steep climbing up to Dolma La High pass (5620m) and steep down to the flat valley via Gaurikunda.

Then you will have to walk another 2-3 hours to reach Zuthulphuk. (Total 22 KM)

Accommodation – at Zuthulphuk Guesthouse on dormitory sharing.
All meals will be served by Team Pavitra Kailash Yatra.

Day 10Third Day of Parikrama: Trek to ending point and drive to Taklakot

Wake up early morning and have tea/coffee/cookies, after 2 hrs walk we will reach to the endpoint where our Bus /jeep will be waiting and drive to Darchen (Parikrama ends) and merge with other members who were waiting.

After a heavy breakfast, we will drive to the Taklakot

Accommodation – at Taklakot 3-star Hotel on 2-4 sharing.
All meals will be served by Team Pavitra Kailash Yatra.

Day 11Taklakot/Hilsa Fly to Simikot /Nepalgunj

Early morning Drive to Nepal border, As soon as possible sift to Simikot by Helicopter. If the weather is good to fly to Nepalgunj and then same day connect flight back to Kathmandu.

Accommodation – at Nepalganj 5-star Hotel on 2-4 sharing.
All food will be served by the Pavitra Kailash Yatra team.

Day 12Fly to Nepalgunj /Kathmandu

If the weather is good to fly to Nepalgunj and then same day connect flight back to Kathmandu.

Accommodation – at a 3-star Hotel on twin sharing.
Food – Veg.Buffet Breakfast /Lunch/Dinner.

Day 13Departure

Departure:- Transfer to Kathmandu Airport, Departure your onward journey.

I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?

If you are traveling alone or want to stay in a single room throughout the journey then the extra supplement cost is $528 or INR 38000

Which currency is most widely accepted on this tour?

You can pay in any currency equivalent to $2222 or INR 1,60,000.

The currency used in China is Yuan.

Should I book pre/post tour accommodation?

There’s no any need for you to book any extra accommodation. We will take care of it for the entire journey.

What is cancellation policy?

Once we received your notice for cancellation in writing, following cancellation rules will apply:

• If canceled less than 45 days prior to departure due to client’s personal problems, all previously paid amount(s) will be forfeited
• If canceled between 45 – 90 days prior to departure, 75% of your payment will be refunded except for the non-refundable deposit.
• If canceled more than 90 days prior to your departure date, your full payment will be refunded except for the non-refundable deposit.

Is there any Age Limit?

From the year 2020, the Chinese govt removes the age restriction.

So, now any person above age of 70 can travel to Kailash Manasarovar Yatra. However, the person having the age of above 70 years have to pay a security deposit of $1000 before the journey.

The deposit amount will be returned as soon as you cross the Chinese border. In case of the death of the passenger, all the security deposit will be forfeited.

Is there any requirement for the Medical certificate?

There is no any need for the medical clearance for the holy Kailash Manasarovar Yatra. However, we at Pavitra Kailash Yatra need your medical report for the safety purpose. (It will help us to give immediate medical treatment in case of emergency.
