We were three couples, around 45–50 years of age, and we completed the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra with Pavitra Kailash Yatra by helicopter, Lucknow to Lucknow. Our main goal was to complete the parikrama, and we were able to do it just as we had hoped.
We did face a little difficulty at Dolma La Pass, but the Sherpa team helped us a lot, and because of their support we crossed it safely. One of the couples hired a horse, and that turned out to be a very helpful and comfortable decision for them.
During the parikrama, the guest houses are basic, but they are manageable and expected in such a holy and remote place. However, the hotels provided by PKY in Nepalgunj and Darchen were very good, with proper hot water and comfort, which really helped us rest well.
Overall, the yatra was well organized, safe, and meaningful for all of us. We are grateful to the Pavitra Kailash Yatra team for supporting us throughout this sacred journey. 🙏
